The challenge

3D visualization of light control

The presentation of a product portfolio, especially in the area of light control units, was a particular challenge for Continental Automotive. The company’s aim was to develop 3D industrial visualizations to create a convincing presentation of the product prototypes for customer presentations. The challenge tolay in effectively displaying the storytelling of individual application options such as warnings, direction changes and parking aids. Despite existing visualizations for individual use cases, there was no uniform representation that presented the product optimally in different scenarios. The project’s objective was to find a solution that not only presented the product portfolio in a technically correct way, but also in terms of its practical application and the associated benefits for the end user.

Our solution

3D use cases for a new era of vehicle safety

The solution is a comprehensive approach that involved developing the use cases in close collaboration with the client. By sketching and designing different application scenarios both in urban traffic and on highways, we were able to create a wide range of technical product visualizations. We paid particular attention to design, texturing and illumination. Together, they effectively showcase individual light projections, such as the 360° light carpet, warning signs and dynamic direction changes.

These visualizations impressively illustrate the possible applications of the Light Control Unit in real driving situations and highlight the innovative characteristics of the products. This creative and technically demanding approach enabled us to present a solution that not only completes the project’s objective, but also presents Continental Automotive’s product portfolio in a way that emphasizes its value and importance for the future of mobility.
